Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ Compliance Resource Network Provides New Regulatory Update Service for Pensions
LONDON – 14 April 2011 – Wolters Kluwer Financial Services announced today that its Compliance Resource Network, which provides consolidated financial laws, regulations, commentary and up-to-date news from across the globe on a single research platform, now provides a Pensions News Stream to help UK financial services professionals stay updated on regulatory information specifically related to pensions.
This latest service covers developments from the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP), The Pensions Regulator (TPR), The Pensions Protection Fund (PPF), National Association of Pension Fund Providers (NAPF), Financial Services Authority (FSA) and HM Treasury (HMT). Additionally, Compliance Resource Network provides European updates from the newly formed European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). The Pension News Stream also incorporates trade body feedback and practitioner comment, which will enable practitioners to keep abreast of industry feedback to reforms and simplification announced at the recent budget.
Monitoring pensions regulation in the UK and Europe can be a difficult task, especially when considering the various changes in legislation that have occurred over the last two decades alone. The Chancellor of the Exchequer confirmed this in his recent 2011 budget where he announced that radical reform and simplification of pensions was long overdue and needed if individuals are to plan for retirement effectively.
“The Compliance Resource Network is critical for all financial services practitioners who want to keep up to date with what is happening on the pensions front,” said Mary Stevens, manager, Regulatory Content – UK, at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. “The Pensions News Stream helps them adapt their business and apply their resources appropriately as reform and simplification comes into play.”
