FRSGlobal presented to the Bahrain Risk & Compliance Professionals network group on February 9th.
FRSGlobal’s CoR2Expert Dr. Sunil Kumar, discussed the growth of Islamic Banking and how the implementation of Sharia principles adds an extra dimension to risk and compliance.
His presentation also discussed cover how VaR did not forecast the last crisis and question if it is still a useful tool or would alternative methods be more appropriate? And finally how risk and regulation are coming together; regulators are adding new regulatory requirements in ever increasing numbers to gain a more holistic view of the risk factors faced by the market today and question what therefore lies ahead?
