Association of British Insurers’ Solvency II Seminar Four: Outsourcing

With insurers’ focus now invariably switching from influencing policy-making to implementing the near-final Solvency II rules within their businesses, the ABI is continuing its series of implementation seminars with a half-day event, hosted at the ABI. This seminar assessed the key Solvency II implementation challenges in relation to insurers’ outsourced activities and the Solvency II requirements.
The session provided delegates with practical advice for enshrining the relevant Solvency II requirements within their business and featured expert speakers, a panel session and small group work to facilitate discussion & understanding of the main issues and the identification of potential solutions.

The one day event discussed the dynamics of bond and loan markets and discussed the challenges in the bond issuance market. In addition, an examination of credit ratings and the changing macro-economic environment on bond and loan issuance market was also covered.
