Understanding the new Central Bank of Oman regulatory reporting platform

On the 26th May 2011, FRSGlobal participated in a seminar to introduce key elements of the planned new Central Bank Regulatory Reporting platform, which is currently being implemented by FRSGlobal in collaboration with the Central Bank of Oman.
The seminar adressed the new paradigms in regulation and risk brought about by the financial crisis which has had a dynamic effect on regulatory organisations throughout the world and also covered the architecture of the solution platform and its application in the Oman regulatory environment together with relevant guidelines for reporting financial institutions.
Information was presented by Dr. Sunil Kumar, a lead consultant in the CBO implementation project and Head of Risk Management for FRSGlobal in the Middle East, and author of several books on the topic of Risk Management in the region.
The seminar was particularly relevant to senior executives responsible for managing financial information, compliance, regulatory reporting and risk management for financial institutions operating in Oman.
