Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' FRSGlobal held a breakfast briefing in conjunction with the FSA to review the latest updates on COREP (European Capital Requirements Directive Reporting).
COREP, Common Reporting is the standardized reporting framework for Europe and includes credit risk, market risk, operational risk, own fund and capital adequacy ratios. COREP will affect all regulated firms in the UK, including all firms who are regulated under BIPRU, prudential sourcebook for Banks, Building Societies and Investment Firms. COREP is due to go live on the 31 December 2012 but this is date may change.
This breakfast briefing gave those people involved in COREP the chance to hear the latest FSA developments, the implications arising from implementation and some background on the legislations. The audience were also given an opportunity to pose questions to the FSA and Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' FRSGlobal regulatory and technology specialists.
